I havent’ been to the above site yet, other than for a cursory glance, but it does seem to have some good pointers.

I was browsing around the web for a color wheel to help decide on some colors for a web site and found the following great sites.<\/p>\n

First, about the meanings of color:<\/p>\n

http:\/\/graphicdesign.about.com\/od\/color\/a\/colormeanings.htm<\/a> so, once a main color is picked (say brown for the color of a grocery bag) then we can use the tools below to select the other color options and select them based on the meaning of color…well, I don’t know if that makes sense but I’m trying.<\/p>\n

Now to pick colors:<\/p>\n

http:\/\/www.webwhirlers.com\/colors\/default.asp<\/a> This site has some great tools<\/p>\n

http:\/\/www.ficml.org\/jemimap\/style\/color\/wheel.html<\/a> with great point mouse interface for determining the html color.<\/p>\n

http:\/\/chem.csustan.edu\/JTB\/HELP\/COLOR\/color-index.htm<\/a> with a nice simple wheel.<\/p>\n

http:\/\/shell-shocked.org\/article.php?id=74<\/a> with a great explaination of web color combinations, particularly for the web. Also has info on graphic dithering.<\/p>\n

http:\/\/wellstyled.com\/tools\/colorscheme2\/index-en.html<\/a> WoW. I’m not sure what it’s teaching but it’s a great toy to play with…maybe there is something there to learn.<\/p>\n
