Who ever\u00a0 thought that was cute &#8230; just another click in the world we don&#8217;t need.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: MICROSOFT FIXED THIS SO IT DOESN&#8217;T WORK ANYMORE. I&#8217;M LEAVING IT HERE FOR POSTERITY<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The following script will replace a dll file. See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghacks.net\/2016\/08\/05\/disable-windows-10-lock-screen\/#comment-3997876\">http:\/\/www.ghacks.net\/2016\/08\/05\/disable-windows-10-lock-screen\/#comment-3997876<\/a> for an explaination.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0ByXxjI18DZC5VE8xalJKSGJ3SXc\/view\">https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0ByXxjI18DZC5VE8xalJKSGJ3SXc\/view<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Look for the download arrow in the upper right of thepage<\/li>\n<li>Extract to desktop?<\/li>\n<li>Run Install<\/li>\n<li>Reboot to see effect or just continue on<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Unpin the Microsoft store icon<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right click the Store icon on the start bar (icon looks like a suitcase with black squares on the side)<\/li>\n<li>Select Unpin from task bar<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Install a new start menu<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download and install Classic Shell<\/li>\n<li>Accept default settings<\/li>\n<li>Right click the start menu<\/li>\n<li>Select settings<\/li>\n<li>Check Replace Start Button near the bottom<\/li>\n<li>Select the Classic button (I did)<\/li>\n<li>Click OK<\/li>\n<li>Click the start menu and see the changes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Choose a solid color with more options<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open Paint<\/li>\n<li>Click on the Color 2 box<\/li>\n<li>Select the color you want, use Edit Colors for other selections<\/li>\n<li>Create a box<\/li>\n<li>Save the image, the default location is your pictures folder<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0 the File tab<\/li>\n<li>Select Set as desktop background\/Fill<\/li>\n<li>Your color will instantly fill the background<\/li>\n<li>Close Paint<\/li>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t like the color, just open your image and change the color (sorry, no details here on doing that)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Make File Explorer look like Windows Explorer<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download and install <a href=\"http:\/\/www.7-zip.org\/\">7-Zip<\/a>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to C:\\Program Files\\7-Zip<\/li>\n<li>Double click 7zFM (7z is a command line tool)<\/li>\n<li>Go to Menu\/Tools\/Options\/<\/li>\n<li>In the Systems tab click on the right most + box<\/li>\n<li>That will set 7-zip as the default program to open most zipped files<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Download <a href=\"http:\/\/www.majorgeeks.com\/files\/details\/oldnewexplorer.html\">OldNewExplorer<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Open OldNewExplorer, 7-zip will open showing you the files<\/li>\n<li>Double click on OldNewWxplorerCfg.exe<\/li>\n<li>Approve the program to run<\/li>\n<li>The options window will appear<\/li>\n<li>Click on the install button to place the dll files into the system<\/li>\n<li>Allow the program to make changes (window may be hidden behind, mine was)<\/li>\n<li>Check Use classical drive grouping in This PC<\/li>\n<li>Check Use command bar instead of ribbon<\/li>\n<li>Check Show details pane on the bottom<\/li>\n<li>Lots of tweaks are available, Check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/260434\/how-to-make-windows-10s-file-explorer-look-like-windows-7s-windows-explorer\/\">a full guide for all the tweaks<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Get rid of Cortina<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/windows-10-tip-turn-off-cortana-completely\/\">http:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/windows-10-tip-turn-off-cortana-completely\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the update version of Windows 10 they try to stop you from turning off Cortana search. So now you have to change the setting in regedit.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In search type regedit<\/li>\n<li>Find<br \/>\nHKLM\\Software\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Windows Search<br \/>\n(you might need to create this key if it doesn&#8217;t exist)<\/li>\n<li>Create the DWORD value AllowCortana and set it to 0.<\/li>\n<li>Type &#8220;cortana&#8221; in the search box<\/li>\n<li>Select Cortana &amp; search settings<\/li>\n<li>Turn shit off.<\/li>\n<li>Start\/PC Settings<\/li>\n<li>Select Privacy<\/li>\n<li>Turn shit off<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Give the Window Bars Colors<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right Click on the desktop and select Personalization.<\/li>\n<li>Select Colors in the left pane<\/li>\n<li>Toggle &#8220;Automatically pick an accent color from my background&#8221; to off<\/li>\n<li>Select a color.
