I found the location of the individual files and I found a program to convert the Flash files into AVI or MPG format.<\/p>\n<p>The new location is:<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Linkk to council videos\" href=\"http:\/\/video.cityofmedford.org\/video\/council\/\">http:\/\/video.cityofmedford.org\/video\/council\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The unfortunate thing is that they are all in Flash format (*.flv) which is not a simple viewing format like *.avi or *.mpg.<\/p>\n<p>To convert them I use VideoCoder from<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"VideoCoder link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freewarefiles.com\/program_6_81_18085.html\"> http:\/\/www.freewarefiles.com\/program_6_81_18085.html <\/a><\/p>\n<p>After installing the program:<\/p>\n<p>1. Drag and drop the <strong>.flv files<\/strong> you downloaded into the large white area in Media Coder<\/p>\n<p>2.  Click on the <strong>Video<\/strong> tab in the lower left-hand section on the window and select <strong>XviD<\/strong>  in the <strong>Codec <\/strong>drop-down menu, <strong>Format <\/strong>should be &#8220;default&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>3. Click the large <strong>Start<\/strong> button on the top tool bar to start transcoding your video.<\/p>\n<p>4. When completed a window will prompt you saying that transcoding is completed, go to your file&#8217;s original location and an .AVI file should be there with the same file name. Now you can play it with Windows Media or your favorite media player.<\/p>\n<p>To save it as *.mpg, instead of *.avi, select <strong>MPEG1 <\/strong>instead of<strong> <\/strong><strong>XviD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"full size image\" href=\"https:\/\/systemsolver.goodhealthyday.com\/StatlerBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/mediacoder.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image176\" alt=\"MediaCoder window image\" src=\"https:\/\/systemsolver.goodhealthyday.com\/StatlerBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/mediacoder.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click image for larger view.<\/p>\n<p>Before you play with any of the other settings save your settings&#8230;select &#8220;File&#8221; and &#8220;Save as preset&#8221;. I saved mine as &#8220;AVI&#8221; that way I can always come back to these default settings.
