{"id":1375,"date":"2015-05-06T22:21:35","date_gmt":"2015-05-07T06:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/systemsolver.com\/StatlerBlog\/?p=1375"},"modified":"2015-05-06T22:21:35","modified_gmt":"2015-05-07T06:21:35","slug":"linux-mint-17-1-automount-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/systemsolver.goodhealthyday.com\/StatlerBlog\/2015\/05\/06\/linux-mint-17-1-automount-problems\/","title":{"rendered":"linux mint 17.1 automount problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had installed hard drives that were not auto mounting.<\/p>\n<p>I used menu\/preferences\/disks and the drives were set to use the &#8216;Automatic mount options&#8217; button but that didn&#8217;t mount them<\/p>\n<p>Next I unselected the &#8216;Automatic&#8217; feature and set things as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>checked mount at startup<\/li>\n<li>checked show in user interface<\/li>\n<li>in the space just above &#8216;Mount Point&#8217; I replaced the default options with:<br \/>\ndefaults,errors=remount-ro,x-gvfs-show<\/li>\n<li>I left the others as they were<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That worked.
