So, I wondered what slander meant and I found a nice <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/\">Wikipedia<\/a> entry about <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Defamatory\">Slander and Libel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Almost all legal systems, including those of the <a title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States\">United States<\/a>, <a title=\"Scotland\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Scotland\">Scotland<\/a>, and <a title=\"England\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/England\">England<\/a> and <a title=\"Wales\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wales\">Wales<\/a>, require in some situations that the subject of the communication prove, in a civil court, that the defendant made the statement with &#8220;malice&#8221;, meaning either believing it was false or with &#8220;reckless disregard&#8221; for whether it was false.
