Goals:<\/h3>\n

When I remote desktop I want to connect to the console screen most of the time.<\/h3>\n

I want the clipboard to work between windows and linux.<\/h3>\n

To get the console screen when connecting do the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. In Linux, open for editing
    \n\/etc\/xrdp\/xrdp.ini<\/li>\n
  2. In the section<\/li>\n
  3. The section [xrdp1] can be changed to look like this:
    \nname=sesman-Xvnc
    \nlib=libvnc.so
    \nusername=ask
    \npassword=ask
    \nip=127.0.0.1
    \nport=ask-1<\/li>\n
  4. The only change is from “port=-1” to “port=ask-1”<\/li>\n
  5. The ‘ask’ in port gives an opportunity to make changes to the log in<\/li>\n
  6. When connecting remotely the first connected screen will show:
    \n“error – problem connecting”
    \nIgnore this and click the OK button<\/li>\n
  7. The next screen defaults to “sesman X11rdp”, but you can select “console” in the module drop down list. Use the default option module “sesman X11rdp” for connecting to a different session.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    An interesting thing to note: You can create an xsession file automatically so when a different user logs on they will get the same session each time.<\/p>\n

    When using RDP to remote in, I want the clipboard to work between windows and linux.<\/h2>\n
