Used an image of a Win10 Home laptop to copy programs/settings to a desktop pc.
Laptop had Home, desktop PC had license for Pro.
Needed to change desktop PC to Pro so people could Remote Desktop into it.
Variation from http://www.zdnet.com/article/going-pro-how-to-upgrade-windows-10-home-without-hassles/
Change Product Key from the System Control Panel (there’s an identical button on the Activation page in Settings).
Enter the default Windows 10 Pro product key:
VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
That signals to Windows that we want to upgrade from Home to Pro,
Click Start Upgrade, and after a few minutes, the system restarts. When connected to the Internet, the Windows activation process checks the hardware against Microsoft’s servers. Because this hardware was already recorded with a digital entitlement to Windows 10 Pro, it was activated immediately, without the need to enter a product key.
